Death through Grays perspective

After reading the poem, Death is something I always thought was one of people greatest fears becaus who wants to be dead. but after different readings this semester death is one of thse things that people should be afraid of and that it is something that comes for everyone, no matter there class, statuss in society and weath. I love this poem because it stands to make everyone equal in the end and show that life has its meaning, regardless of how it is celebrated in the end. one question I can pose for this is if death is the ultimate equalizer for humans, why can that be for life, everyone is given there life, what in the middle create inequities in people lifes. there is a quote I want to share that I read when I was younger about life and death.” life asked death: why does everyone love me and hate you? death responded : because you are the beautiful lie, and I am the painful truth.” when reading the poem this quote poped back up into my head because death is a painful truth, but it comes for everyone regardless of who they are. I also really liked this quote from the poem:”The next with dirges due in sad array

Slow thro’ the church-way path we saw him borne.

Approach and read (for thou canst read) the lay,

Grav’d on the stone beneath yon aged thorn.”
